Submitting an enquiry
A formal brief is not required. It is helpful to know what the business does and for whom, what needs to be designed, built or resolved, and the timeline the project is working to. If a budget range has been set, stating it allows us to propose the most appropriate options. If an existing website is involved, please include the address; examples of work you consider relevant, whether positively or negatively, are also useful.
What follows
Every enquiry is read and answered by a member of the team within one working day, usually with clarifying questions. Where the project appears to be a good fit, we propose a thirty-minute consultation to understand the requirements in detail. Following the consultation we issue a written proposal covering scope, deliverables, timeline and terms. No work is undertaken, and nothing is invoiced, until the proposal has been agreed in writing.
Contact addresses
hello@walkupdigital.com is the general address and is appropriate for almost all enquiries. new@walkupdigital.com is monitored for new business enquiries where a proposal is already anticipated. support@walkupdigital.com is reserved for existing Website Care clients and is monitored within the response time of their plan. All three addresses are read by people, and none is used for marketing distribution.
Existing clients
Clients on a Website Care plan should use support@walkupdigital.com for all service requests. Each request is acknowledged within the first-response time of the plan and recorded against the monthly allocation of hours where applicable. Requests outside the scope of the plan are quoted before any work is carried out, and the monthly report records all work completed.
Urgent matters on existing websites
If a website not built by the studio is unavailable, compromised or malfunctioning, please write to the general address with the site address and a description of the issue. We will advise within one working day whether the matter can be addressed immediately, whether an onboarding audit is required first, or whether another provider would be better placed to assist.
Before the consultation
The consultation lasts thirty minutes and follows a consistent structure. We discuss the business and its audience, the objectives of the website, the current situation and its limitations, the decision-makers and the team that will operate the site, the factors driving the timeline, and the budget range. No preparation is required; having these points in mind makes the session more productive.
Invoicing
Projects are invoiced in stages aligned with agreed milestones, as set out in the proposal. Website Care is invoiced monthly, or annually in advance where preferred. Invoices are issued in US dollars, or in euros where a European client prefers, as agreed in the proposal, with tax applied where applicable. Nothing is charged before it has been agreed in writing.
Working arrangements
All work is conducted remotely and in English. Meetings are held by video call at times agreed in writing at the outset of the project, so that time-zone arrangements are settled once. Feedback is consolidated in a single shared channel. Accounts, files and infrastructure are established in the client's name from the beginning, so that no transfer is required on completion.
Confidentiality
All material shared during an enquiry or an engagement is treated as confidential. A mutual non-disclosure agreement can be executed before any material is exchanged, and we do not publish case studies, credentials or examples of client work without prior written consent.
Data handling
Information submitted through the contact form is delivered to hello@walkupdigital.com and is not shared with third parties. It is used solely to respond to the enquiry and is not added to any mailing list. Where an enquiry does not proceed, the information is retained only for as long as is necessary to respond. The website itself sets no marketing cookies and runs no advertising trackers.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum project size? Logo design is the smallest standalone project we undertake; smaller items of work are handled within a Website Care plan. Do you sign non-disclosure agreements? Yes, before any material is exchanged; a mutual agreement can be provided if required. Can you work alongside an existing developer or agency? Yes, on design, SEO or maintenance as separate engagements, with responsibilities defined in the scope. Do you accept urgent projects? Where the work can be completed to the required standard, and at a surcharge stated in advance. Can an engagement begin with a smaller project? Most client relationships begin in exactly that way.
Response times
Initial responses are sent within one working day, Monday to Friday. Proposals follow the consultation within one week, and usually sooner. Existing Website Care clients are answered within the first-response time of their plan, from two working days on the agreed first-response time, which is set against how much the business depends on the site.
Location and hours
The studio operates remotely across European and North American business hours. Enquiries received outside these hours are answered on the next working day. Meetings are scheduled by agreement, with the time zone confirmed in writing.
After the project
Every engagement concludes with a handover session and written documentation. Clients who continue on a Website Care plan retain a named point of contact and a monthly report; clients who do not remain welcome to return for further work at any point, and existing websites can be brought onto a plan following a technical audit.
